Today i want to tell you that it’s never too late to achieve anything, that you dream about. It is said that excellence is not a destination, it is continuous journey that never ends. Have you ever thought about starting a bussiness but you feel as if you’re too old? How about building your existing business but you feel that it’s too late? It’s time to step away from those fears and focus on your dreams of success. Here are 8 ways to get yourself out of that mindset.

First, know that it’s never too late. As long as you have breath in your body, you can work towards achieving your dreams. Now is the time to implement the power of positive thinking and take the steps needed to move forward. You never know what you can achieve until you try.

Second, you must have a desire until you have the desire. You won’t have the will to get it done. Desire is something that you can’t run from it’s always with you and it’s stays on your mind. Eventually you have to explore that desire and move on it. You can’t just talk about being a successful person, you have to put in the work and make it come true.

Third, believe. This is one of the most important elements of the equation. If you don’t believe in yourself and achieving your dreams, who will? Once you fully believe in what you can do, you begin to see things start to happen. Remember you cannot achieve it on the outside, until you actually believe it. Unshakably on the inside.

Fourth, write it down. There’s a truth in the saying that write it down and make it plain. Visualizing what you want to do on a cosistent basis helps you move closer to the goal. Additionally when you write things down, you’re able to have a clearer picture of what it is you really want to do. When it’s in your head it’s easy to miss a few moving parts. When it’s down on paper you’ll be able to see all the pieces of the puzzle. Here’s the discovery i made many years ago, is you don’t really know what your goal is, until you can describe it clearly on paper and you don’t really know what your goal is until you can describe it clearly to another person and have them see it and understand it clearly, think on paper.

Fifth, determine why you want to excel or achieve in that area. You must know your why. You know one of the most popular books in the world today is start with why. Why do you want to start or build in on to your business and why is it so important to you? The bottom line is this is your dream. You’ve got to be willing to go all-in. The bigger the why that you have the more determination and persistence you’ll have.

Sixth, set a deadline. Once you have a goal in mind, it’s good to set a deadline to keep yourself accountable. You may have to adjust and pivot with incoming data but at least you’ll have some idea of what you want to accomplish and when you would like to accomplish it.

Seven, make a plan. If you fail the plan, you plan to fail. Everything needs some kind of structure to determine goals and objectives and wether they’re feasible in your established timeline. thoughtful planning allows you to see the big picture, weigh the pros and cons and put together a strategy. Remember a strategy is a step-by-step process of getting from here to there and the greater clarity you have with your strategy, the more confident you are that it’s achievable. With a concrete plan, you’ll know your starting point and you’ll have benchmarks to meet along the way. This provides insights and inspiration to keep going. Finally never give up. Once you’ve decided to go ahead and pursue your dream, the key is to never give up. Never ever thinking about giving up. Starting and maintaining a bit, this is hard work. Even with an existing business position it the right way for growth and expansion can be tedious and discouraging at times. This is when you have to dig in. Believe in what you want to do and keep pushing.

No one ever said attaining your dreams of success was easy, the question is how badly do you want it. Consider reaching your dreams as a race of sorts. You have the desire and will but you need to plug into it that means believing you can do it and taking the steps necessary to start making things happen. You’re going to make a plan to train and to write down all the and elements needed to succeed in that training. Then you’re going to set a realistic deadline to get yourself in shape to be able to complete and succeed. Most of all you’re never going to give up, once you’ve started moving towards your goals. Eventually you’ll be ready and you’ll be able to see the finish line. Once you get in the race.

It’s all about mindset and how important your goals are to you. Always remember you’re never too old to achieve your goals and dreams. The beauty of starting later in life is that you learned that view things differently. Can assess assess situations better and it most cases have more focus. I always loved the story of Colonel Sanders who was 75 years old and on his 75th birthday he received his first Social Security Check and he looked at the check and he said, this is the government telling me that my life is over. And my life is not over it hasn’t even begun, and something happened inside of him that led to the founding in the first Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise and the rest his history, he became the first or second best known figure in the world in the years ahead. And he started at the age 75.

although you will have competition, the only person you really be competing against is yourself. See the vision work toward the vision and reap the rewards. Now, i’d love to hear from you, so my question today is this :
Do you have a dream but fear it’s too late?
